Social History of Art

The Cleveland Museum of Art has just opened a new wing with another wing coming by 2013. This great museum has important collections in Classical, Early Christian, Baroque, and 19th century. Highlights include Tintoretto, De Hooch, Ter Brugghen, Kalf, Steen, Poussin, Ribera, David, Turner, Waldmuller, Bouguereau, Sargent, Bierstadt, Puvis, Redon, Van Gogh, and Denis.
