Social History of Art

I am a specialist in late medieval and early modern European art who has authored books of Early Netherlandish canvas painting, images of rape, illustrated Yiddish manuscripts and printed books, and history of sexuality.  I just co-authored an exhibition catalogue on Jacques Callot and a catalogue of Early Netherlandish paintings in L.A.  My current project is a book on images of household servants.
