Social History of Art

I am a retired housepainter, living in northern New Jersey, and a freelance writer and musician who loves art and painting. Now that I have the time, I have begun working with oil paints and trying to learn as much as I can as I go along. I painted a lot of portraits over the years in my spare time, but now I am trying to branch out into other subjects, wildlife, landscapes, and flowers, for example, some of which I occasionally post at www.skipsprints.com.
