About Me

Tatiana Sizonenko, A.B.D. in Art History, Theory, and Criticism at the University of California San Diego's Department of Visual Arts.  She holds an M.A. degree in Museum Studies from John F. Kennedy University (Berkeley, CA), and an Diploma (M.A. equivalent) from the St. Petersburg University in Russia.  Her current research is focused on artistic exchange and cultural translation between Venice and Constantinople, and Venice and Moscow in 1400-1500.  In addition, she has completed research on issues of humanism and art production in Venice in the early 1500s, and studied extant copies of Leonardo da Vinci's "Battle of Anghiari." Before coming to the U.S., she also published on iconography and design of Medieval Russian iconostasis.
