About Me
I have just completed an Open University MA in History of Art, with a dissertation on 'A Pächtian episode in English medieval manuscript illumination: is there "Italian influence" in the Macclesfield Psalter?'. I want to continue to study the group of manuscripts made in or around Norwich in the early 14th century, the 'East Anglian School', and whether it is plausible that the style was influenced by Giotto, Duccio and Simone Martini so soon after their work appeared in Italy. The whole question of 'influence' is fascinating. I am also an accredited guide to the Fitzwilliam Museum here in Cambridge. This enterprise looks great!
