Social History of Art

I love marble, ancient Roman artifacts and architecture, and anything to do with classical Catholic church design. St. Peter's and the Vatican have countless treasures created from the minds of so many people devoted to making our earthly existence under God seem less distant. I am one of those who could live my whole life locked inside the walls of Vatican City and be at peace with all its beauty.
